The official closing ceremony of the 7th AWAC
Within the frames of the 7th Advanced World Aerobatic Championship final the organizers have planned air shows performed by: "The Żelazny Group" - a Russian team which belongs to the world leaders, as well as German and Polish teams. Moreover, the spectators will have a chance to see: moto-hang gliders, flying machines show, gliders show and flights performed by Jak 18 and Dromader. The crowning achievement of this shows will be performance of AWAC 2006 Champions and appearance of the outstanding aerobatic teams „Iskry” and „Orlik”.

- What do you think about the organization of this Championship?
M.H: Well, there’ve been seven Advanced World Aerobatic Championships now and I’ve attended all of them and this, so far, is the best organized we’ve ever had. Everything is in place, there’s been a lot of thought and planning and the international jury and the officials of the Aerobatics Commission could not be more happy.
- Do you have any favourites? Who do you think can be the winner?
M.H. Well, of course, since I’m serving here as a president to the jury I can’t have any favourites. The only thing I can hope for and work for is that there’s good judging which I think we have here. We have an excellent panel of judges. And that they will do their work and the best pilot will win. Whoever.
- What memories connected with Poland, with Radom will you have?
M.H. I will have memories of very friendly, wonderful people. I will never forget the parade we had in Radom at that first day. And when we came down the street and all of the people were waving and clapping. And applause. And that I will never forget. The welcome we got in Poland when we arrived.

Promotion and development department at Radom City Council has organized a trip entitled ‘Radom and surrounding places’ for judges and competitors taking part in the 7th Advanced World Aerobatic Championship. Scheduled return time: 1:00 p.m.

Interview with Petr Biskup, individual and team Aerobatic World Champion.
- Do you realize that you are regarded as the favorite to win the gold medal? Your
achievements are simply obliging!
- Petr Biskup: I have logged only 5 hours in SU-29. I changed from ZLIN-50 and now I have to get acquainted with SU-29’s capabilities. This year, I am here to watch the other competitors’ performance, and possibly, win something in a
year, or let’s say two years time.
- Having the possibility to watch your mates at training, have you spotted a kind of your successor, a candidate for the World Champion?
P.B. As usual, the favorites are mainly Americans, Russians and the French, however, there are many new people I don’t know. I think they can be good, and have real chances to win medals.

They have arrived already!
More competition pilots are arriving at Piastow Airfield everyday to take part on the the Aerobatic World Championships.
The representative of one person team of Australia, Richard Wiltshire, arrived in Poland on Monday. He says that he likes Poland very much and that he recieved a very worm welcome. During the competition he counts on a good start and that he at least places him self in the middle of the stake, as he did during the Championships in Sweden.
Joakim Grepe of Sweden spends most of his time in the company of Richard Wiltshire. Both pilots met and became friends at the 5th AWAC. This year's competition of the aerobatic pilots is a debut in the event of this prestige, for Joakim.
The team of Americans are also already training at Piastow. They are always thought of as the favourites. Coach Tom Adams was emphasising the very high condition of Jeff Boerboon. During few free moments the American team do sightseeing tours of Poland, and they really admire... the beauty of Polish women.

- Advanced World Aerobatic Championships in Poland, Radom are coming and it's getting late. On which stage are the preparations for the championships.
- Stanis?aw Szczepanowski: for today most things are prepared. We are looking forward to meeting the best pilots from all over the world. Sadków Airport is ready to welcome the competitors. The first pilot, USA team member has already arrived. At Sadków Airport on the 1 st and 2 nd of August official training will be held. Before the 1 st of August pilots will be able to train at Piastów Airport. And on the 3 rd of August an official opening ceremony will be held.
- How many competitors will finally take part in Radom Championships?
- Stanis?aw Szczepanowski: For today eighty pilots confirmed their arrival,but the list will be closed after the first briefing. We are sure that the latest world champion Petr Biskup and same vice champions from USA will take part in Advanced World Aerobatic Championships in Radom. Besides them individual and team champions from Russia and France will come to Radom. There will be also many famous world champions.

Among all the groups which take part in Advanced World Aerobatic Championships, the team which will arrive first to Radom will be the team from USA. We are still waiting for entries from others members. The last entry which we receieved was from the Team from Georgia.

All teams which arrive to Radom untill the 1st of August will be able to land on the Piastów Airport.
After the 1 st of August the all the contestors will be welcomed only on the Military Airport on Sadków.

The area of Radom Sadkow Airport was visited by the Judges' delegation of FAI (International Federation of Aeronautics) with the Chief Judge Pavel Kavka of Czech Republic.
Championships in Radom
The 7 th Advanced World Aerobatic Championships will begin on the 3rd of August 2006. It is said that the teams from USA , France, Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Poland will be the biggest among all the teams registered. The smallest teams are from Austia, Denmark, Great Britain and Georgia.

Robert Kowalik: The strongest are the teams from Chech Republik, Ukraine, Russia and France. If it is about me , I will do my best to show myself from the best side to
the Polish public, although I understand that ambitions and willings won't be enough. A strong training izs what I need. As a pilot of Central Wings I don't have enough time for training.I think that young , very talented pilot from Zielona Góra Krzysztof Kossi?ski can make a big surprice to us.
-Your plan MIN AND MAX...
Robert Kowalik :- I don't have plans like that .Whenever I start I always want to fight for the first place. I understand that taking part in World Aerobatic Championships is not the same as competiting in Polish Championships,but in spite of planning I am going to fight for the best place. I can't let down my fans from Radom.
